eHouse for BESS 100 MW/200 MWh in France

Ferrières-Haut-Clocher

Description

Design, manufacturing and supply a switchroom 33kV and a control room for the Foriaux BESS project for Ferrières-Haut-Clocher, in France.

With a capacity of 100 MW/200 MWh, this plant stands as one of the largest battery energy storage systems in the country. To put its impact into perspective, it can cover the electricity needs of approximately 170,000 people for 2 hours. Regarding its configuration, the plant is composed by 31 units of batteries and transformers. It occupies about 1,3 hectare and the site has been planned and designed to minimise land take, with particular attention to landscape integration through the planting of hedgerows.
Technical Highlights:

  • MV Switchroom: equipped with MV air-insulated (AIS) switchgear ATR 36kV 2500A 25kA(1s), LV switchboards, Euro P&C patch panels, HVAC systems, UPS & Rectifiers, 4G antenna, weather station, GPS, and Swicom.
  • TSO ControlRoom: includes HV protection panels, network interface racks, LV Euro P&C panels, and advanced fire detection systems (Roxtec sealing included).
