Description

Design, manufacturing and supply of a switchroom and a control room for the 50MW/100MWh Battery Energy Storage System destined to La Sarre, in Hilbesheim (France).

The project includes the study, design, manufacturing and supply of:

  • N. 1 Switchroom, equipped with n. 6 MV air-insulated (AIS) ATR switchgear panels 36kV, HVAC system, LV switchboard, fire detection system, UPS and rectifier, patch panel, 4G antenna, weather station, swicom, auxiliary equipment.
  • N. 1 TSO control room, equipped with HVAC system, LV switchboard, fire detection system, UPS and rectifier, HV protection panels, network interface rack, human interface rack, auxiliary equipment.
The main goal of the plant is to enhance grid stability by balancing supply and demand in real time and provide flexibility to support the integration of renewable energy into the grid.
Moreover, throughout its entire operating lifetime, it’ll help avoid nearly 180,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. This project is part of a series of investments that will contribute to France’s 2050 carbon neutrality target.
