Description
The project involves, the engineering design, manufacture and supply of n. 2 plug-in eHouse, STC-Box, 33kV, for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
The eHouse is equipped with medium-voltage (MV) switchgears 36kV 2500A 25kA(1s), 110 VDC System with battery, 230 VAC SYSTEM with battery, Patch Panel, HVAC system, fire detection system and auxiliary LV switchboard.
Our switching station will integrate with the Tesla BESS system, playing a crucial role in connecting the UK's largest offshore wind farms to the grid - enhancing stability and accelerating the transition to clean energy.
The project is designed for a 300MW / 600MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the onshore converter station of the offshore wind farm, Hornsea 3, in Swardeston, UK. Developed in collaboration with Tesla, it will store excess energy and release it when needed, stabilizing the grid and reducing price volatility. The system is expected to be operational by late 2026 and will be one of Europe's largest BESS installations.
