Description
The challenging project has included the design, construction, and commissioning of n. 2 e-Houses for the port area of Marghera Levante (Venice).
N. 2 STC-Box compact substations for GIS 245kV mounted and installed on skids, to allow the passage of cables. They are large modular structures (13.3 meters x 5.2 meters x 7.5 meters), that guarantee high standards of performance, while main component materials are studied to be resistant to atmospheric agents and seismic events.
This solution, including efficient and environmentally friendly technology and materials, ensures both to provide a functional solution and to reach sustainable goals.
The structure has been constructed directly on-site, and our team has effectively managed the critical environmental conditions due to the proximity to the lagoon.
It is a part of the plant addressed to “Monte Bianco”, the most powerful turbine ever constructed in Italy, capable of producing energy for 250.000 apartments. Nicknamed “Monte Bianco”, because it is the top machine in Europe by power, the turbine generates 538 MW of power (ISO conditions) in the 50Hz version presented today and 760 MW in a combined cycle with an efficiency of 62.6%.
All this, with a particular focus on the environment, thanks to the reduction of specific CO2 emissions by 40% compared to the average of the current Italian thermoelectric park and of nitrogen oxides by over 70%.
