Description

We are energized to share our latest project for a BESS plant 68-MW in Lerwick, Shetland Islands. The battery will contribute to cutting emissions and utilising more renewables on the islands.

For this remote and beautiful area, we have studied, designed manufactured and supplied:

  • N. 1 main switchroom 33kV, equipped with medium voltage air-insultaed switchgear, protection panels, HVAC systems, fire detection and automatic extinguisher system, inverter and UPS 110VDC.
  • N. 1 control room, equipped with low votlage switchboard, protection panels, HVAC system, fire detection and automatic exhstinguisher system, inverter and UPS 230VAC, marshalling panel, interface panels.
  • N. 2 LV AC rooms, equipped with low votlage switchboard, protection panels, HVAC system, fire detection and automatic exhstinguisher system, inverter and UPS, marshalling panel, interface panels.
Next step: the transport. It will be a real challenge, especially the docking in a port not used to receive large cargos, but we are confident that thanks to our worldwide experience and the support of our logistic partners we’ll be able to manage it.
