HV/MV indoor Substation 110/13.8kV 25MVA

Varadero (Cuba)

Description

This project has the peculiarity of being installed inside a building specifically designed in respect of the surrounding environment, notoriously recognized for its touristic value.

The electrical substation for primary transformation and distribution was built on a 2.5-meter high structure, in order to limit damage in the event of flooding. The high-voltage substation consists of a hybrid PASS system, two 25MVA HV/MV transformers, medium-voltage air-insulated Normal Clad switchgear 24kV, low-voltage switchboards EURO P&C and EURO SDS, power transformers, lighting. It also includes a CO2 and a fire detection system for the main transformers, a remote video surveillance system and SCADA system.
